The City of Lakeland wants residents to know the Fourth of July (Monday) is a recognized holiday for Republic Services. This means normal trash service will be delayed by one day next week. Lakeland City Hall and Lakeland School System will also be closed for the national holiday.
The city issued the following schedule for trash service, so residents know when to expect service. According to officials this applies to all types of trash pickups from normal trash and yard waste to recycling.
Trash Pickup Schedule:
Monday service will be Tuesday
Tuesday service will be Wednesday
Wednesday service will Thursday
Thursday service will be Friday
Friday service will be Saturday
