The Lakeland Preparatory School Theatre Company (LPSTC) recently took center stage at the Orpheum Theatre during the annual High School Musical Theatre Awards, earning top recognition and showcasing student talent from across the region.
Truman Heames, a standout student at Lakeland Prep, was honored with the Outstanding Student Technical Achievement Award for his exceptional lighting design work. The award recognizes behind-the-scenes excellence and highlights Truman’s creativity and technical skill.
Adding to the celebration, LPS students Coleman and Elaina Wright performed in two musical numbers alongside other talented students from area schools, lighting up the Orpheum stage in a night dedicated to honoring excellence in high school theatre.
