Lakeland Preparatory School is preparing to raise the curtain on its spring musical, Anything Goes, marking an exciting milestone for the school’s growing performing arts program.
The production will take place in the LPS Auditorium with evening performances scheduled for March 26–28 at 7 p.m., followed by a matinee performance on March 29 at 2 p.m.
This year’s production carries special significance for Lakeland Prep, which is celebrating its first academic year operating as a complete high school serving grades 9 through 12. To commemorate the milestone, the theatre program selected the beloved musical by Cole Porter, widely known for its lively tap numbers, witty humor, and timeless songs.
While the show promises high-energy performances on stage, much of the production’s success is also rooted behind the scenes. Students have taken on numerous leadership roles in areas including set design, costumes, lighting, makeup, graphic design, and stage management. Their work reflects a strong commitment to creativity, collaboration, and craftsmanship throughout the rehearsal and production process.
Faculty and student leaders involved with the theatre program say the production has pushed the entire company to rise to a more professional level while maintaining the joy and excitement that make musical theatre so memorable.
Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $10 for students and are available online at lpstheatrecompany.org/tickets.
