Both Lakeland schools are selling “local” Christmas tree ornaments and they are available even to those without children in school.
Alexa Tutor, publicity chair for both the LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) PTO and LES (Lakeland Elementary School) PTA, said both schools are taking pre-orders for the spirit items.
“Pre-order your “Lakeland, Tennessee” Christmas tree (green with red bow) and “Lakeland Lions” wreath ornaments and show your love for Lakeland and our schools,” said Mrs. Tutor.
“These beautiful stacked wooden ornaments are made right here in Tennessee. They are $10 each and we will accept orders through Dec. 10th, or until our supply is exhausted.”
Those in the community without a student at either school can purchase one or both ornaments by contacting Belinda Henry at membelletn@hotmail.com .
For LES/LMPS parents, samples are available at both schools and the order forms, below, can be used for purchasing. Mrs. Tutor said, “After Dec. 10th, paid ornaments will be sent home with students through Dec. 20th.”
Currently there is no high school in Lakeland. Students attend Arlington High School through an interlocal between both cities.
