The cities of Lakeland, Bartlett, and Arlington are partnering to help administer COVID-19 vaccines and according to city officials volunteers are needed. Shane Horn, City Manager for Lakeland, said a drive-thru vaccination site will be held at Faith Baptist Church starting Wednesday, April 7, 2021. This site will be open on Wednesday through Friday from 9am-4pm and Saturday from 9am-1pm. The site will provide just over 1,000 vaccinations per weekday and 500 more on Saturday. Faith Baptist Church is located at 3755 N. Germantown Road in Bartlett, TN.
According to Mr. Horn volunteers are desperately needed to help staff the site. Mr. Horn said, “We have partnered with Volunteer Odyssey to ensure you have a great volunteer experience while also helping to vaccinate the community. Volunteers must be 18 and over and comfortable walking and standing for a 4-hour shift.” Mr. Horn emphasized that no medical experience is required to volunteer.
