Volleyball Victory and 8th Grade Recognition

Monday, September 24th marked the last home game for the Lady Lions Volleyball team from LMPS.  Both the JV Team and the Varsity Team won their matches against competition from West Collierville Middle School.  The school being in its second year has already built a powerhouse program and both teams have an impressive ranking this year.  The JV team has have won every game except three and Varsity has won every game except two this season.

Between the two teams’ matches, the 8th grade girls were escorted by their parents onto the court and given a beautiful bouquet of flowers donated by our local Kroger, a personalized volleyball blanket embroidered in LMPS colors and an action shot photo of one of their plays during the season.

The 8th graders are Kara Crunk (Jim and Charlie), Bailey Hall (Jason and Penni), Kami Kreeger (Michael), Natalie Latessa (Reid and Jackee), Macy Morrow (Chris and Kristel), Catherine Provo (Mark and Cricket) and Kate Storch (Ted and Kendra).

The LMPS Lady Lions begin the municipal tournament on Friday, September 28, at Bartlett High School.  The teams are coached by Katy Betts and Lauren Cocroft.
