Two new wellness tenants announced today for The Lake District

It is announced today (4.18.19) that The Lake District’s list of Phase 1 tenants continues to grow with the addition of Elite Total Health Walk-In Clinic and Neighborhood Barre, a boutique fitness studio.

The Lake District (TLD), a mixed-use community at I-40 and Canada Road in Lakeland, is set to open Phase 1 for the 2020 holiday season. Stretching beyond retail and restaurants, The Lake District will also provide experiences focused on health and wellness with the new tenants as well as Brickhouse Fitness.

As a part of downtown Memphis, Elite Total Health has been serving the healthcare needs of the community for over four years. Owner Tina Brown FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), said,” It’s time we expand our reach.”  The walk-in clinic offers a variety of services ranging from Quick Care (a cash pay minor medical clinic), Low T Therapy, Medical Weight Loss and aesthetics.   Ms. Brown continued, “It’s incredibly important for us to provide best-in-class care that is accessible and welcoming to patients. The Lake District, which is a walkable community, provides an environment and experience that seamlessly fits with the mission of our walk-in clinic.”

When it comes to living an active and healthy lifestyle, The Lake District now has even more options, said TLD owner Yehuda Netanel.

Neighborhood Barre will be opening their new barre studio in Phase 1 of the development as well. “Barre is one of the fastest growing fitness techniques that incorporates elements of Pilates, yoga and ballet strength training,” said Mr. Netanel.  “The exercise is extremely low impact while providing an incredible full body workout.”

Ashley Averwater, owner of Neighborhood Barre said, “When I moved to Memphis in 2012, it was my dream to bring Neighborhood Barre to Memphis. We’ve experienced so much love in East Memphis and are thrilled to be bringing our studio to Lakeland! When Yehuda Netanel shared his vision with me, I knew this was the right time and right place to open the next Neighborhood Barre studio. We are so excited to be a part of The Lake District and the Lakeland Community.”

Mr.  Netanel said, “Residents and visitors of The Lake District will experience a life of fulfillment. We’re creating a picturesque environment to enjoy delicious food, curated retail, engaging event programming, fine living and a culture of health and wellness. Elite Total Health and Neighborhood Barre are joining Brick House Fitness in what we’re calling the ‘Wellness Center,’ located in Phase 1 of the development. We’re delighted to be working with companies that share our vision of excellence.”

Director of Development of The Lake District Maggie Gallagher added, “Phase 1 of the development is 95% leased! We’re on to Phase 2 and will be making some exciting announcements in the near future.”
