Two meetings set for possible gas station, eatery in Lakeland

There are two upcoming meetings to review a proposed development at Canada Road and Saskatoon Lane which could include a gas station and a Dairy Queen.

The first will be at 6 p.m. Thursday (3.14.19) at City Hall as a neighborhood meeting, said Shane A. Horn, city manager.  Neighbors have been invited but the meeting is open to anyone.

The second discussion of the development, Canada Woods Subdivision, will be a Board of Appeals (BOA) meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday (3.18.19) at City Hall. Agenda link: https://tn-lakeland.civicplus.com/ArchiveCenter/ViewFile/Item/829

Two meetings

Thursday (3.14.19) – 6 p.m. – City Hall

Monday (3.18.19) – 5:30 p.m. – City Hall

The conditional use permit application is requested by Radiant Group Companies, LLC at the northwest corner of Canada and Saskatoon.

The permit would allow vehicle service uses including a convenience store with fuel pumps and car wash at the specific property on Canada Road.

The Thursday meeting is for information only and called by the developer.  The Monday meeting goes before the BOA.  If the conditional use permit is granted, the project will proceed to the Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) for site plan approval.
