Temporary Traffic Signal Activated In Front Of Chick-fil-A

The temporary traffic light is now active in front of Chick-fil-A.

Yesterday morning, on February 29, 2024, the temporary traffic light in front of Chick-fil-A at the intersection of Canada Road and Lake District Drive was activated. According to the City of Lakeland the light will flash for a week following the mandatory 7-day flash period. Next Thursday, March 7, 2024, the light will change to stop-and-go operation. That change is expected to take place at 9:00 AM.

During the first two months of operation, the traffic signal timings will be adjusted to optimize traffic flow at what the city describes as a “critical intersection”. The traffic lights were installed last week on temporary wooden poles. Later this year more permanent and decorative steel poles will be installed.

An opening date for the Lakeland Chick-fil-A has not been announced but officials expect it to open sometime in March.
