The Shelby County Health Department is offering no cost flu vaccines on Tuesday, November 9. There will be a drive thru location at Southwest Tennessee Community College’s Gill Campus from 10:00am – 2:00pm. No appointment necessary. They are also available on a walk-in basis at all of Shelby County Health Department’s public health clinics, same date and time.

Recommended for those aged six months and older, including babies and young children, the annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and your family against influenza, which can cause serious illness. According to the SCHD, Flu vaccines will not prevent COVID-19, but they will reduce the burden of flu related illnesses, hospitalizations and deaths on the health care system and conserve scarce medical resources for the care of people with COVID-19.
