Mold found at LMPS – Professionals called to remedy the problem

In a letter to parents and the community, Dr. Ted Horrell, superintendent for the Lakeland School System (LSS), shared that mold was found in one area of the year-old Lakeland Middle Preparatory School (LMPS) this week.

This evening (7.31.18) Dr. Horrell posted a letter (below) to the LSS Facebook page and the LSS website https://lakelandk12.org/

“The mold was confined to one area served by one AC unit that was producing humidity,” said Dr. Horrell.

The school, which opened in August 2017, serves grades 5-8, and is scheduled to open to students Aug. 13. Teacher days at the School start tomorrow (8.1.18).
