On a lovely Wednesday afternoon on March 22nd, guests of the Lakeland Chamber Luncheon were treated to a delightful musical performance by the LPS Jazz Band at the Lakeland Golf Course. Vice Mayor Wesley Wright, a Chamber supporter, expressed his desire to make musical performances a regular feature of the luncheon. Lakeland resident and University of Memphis Offensive Coordinator, Coach Tim Cramsey, was the special guest of the event, delivering a fantastic message and a remarkable door prize of a signed football by the University of Memphis team.
Executive director Brittney Buchanan expressed her gratitude to the members and Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett for sponsoring the event. Ain’t It The Life provided a scrumptious meal to a packed crowd for the monthly meeting. Coach Cramsey shared why he and his family chose to relocate to Lakeland when he accepted the job. He also imparted intangible lessons to his players to motivate them in their personal lives. Attendees of the event also included Lakeland resident and former University of Tennessee star wide receiver and NFL player, Coach Justin Hunter who is also coaching for the Tigers.
