LPS Presents Homecoming Court 2021

In a day full of football festivities for Lakeland Prep Homecoming on Saturday, September 11, 2021, it was even more special when the homecoming court was announced during halftime of the varsity game.  The court, which is voted on by peer students by grade level, consisted of a diverse group of students that included some of the football players themselves.

The chosen participants are as follows:

5th grade: Lord and Lady

Some of the teacher sponsors involved in the Pep Club include art teacher Jared Parham, PE coach Kimber Rahm, 5th grade ELA teacher Audrey Engstrand and 5th grade teacher Katie Dane.  They were actively involved in coordinating the voting process and the festivities on Saturday.  Ms. Engstrand said, “We are so proud of and excited for the kids to have this experience!”  Ms. Engstrand and Ms. Dane even took flowers to the home of one of the 6th grade court participants who was unable to attend on Saturday.  Congratulations to all the students!
