LPS Band Festival Spotlight Concert Tonight

The LPS Band Concert is this Tuesday, February 21st at 7:00 PM in the LPS Auditorium. The beginning band will be performing “Impulse Power” by Naoya Wada and “Gentle Winds” by Timothy Loest. Percussion Ensemble will be performing a piece entitled “Avalanche Lake” by Patrick Speranza. Jazz band will be performing “First Time Around” by Mike Lewis and “Como Te Va” by Carl Strommen. The Concert band will be performing “Blue Ridge Reel” by Brian Balmages, “Evergreen Escapades” by Adrian B. Sims, and “The Navy Trident” by Robert W. Smith. Admission is free, and $5.00 donations will be gratefully accepted to support the continuing growth of the band program.

The band program comprises of approximately 150 students and growing. Next month the concert band will be performing these pieces for WTSBOA Concert Festival on March 7th. Make sure to come and see how the program is musically growing by leaps and bounds. All are welcome to attend. There is always room in the auditorium for more guests.
