A new restaurant has officially opened its doors in Lakeland as local resident Johnny Chen and his family welcome guests to Ahi Asian Bistro at Lakeland Town Square.
Located at 9789 Market Green Place South, the restaurant occupies approximately 2,900 square feet within Phase 2 of the Town Square development. Ahi Asian Bistro features a full-service Asian fusion menu that blends Japanese and Chinese cuisine, offering residents a new dining option in one of Lakeland’s fastest-growing commercial areas.
The restaurant is currently in its soft opening phase and is serving customers daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. through Sunday. Guests can enjoy both dine-in and takeout service.
Chen, who moved to Lakeland in 2021, previously operated Ahi Sushi, a takeout-focused restaurant on Highway 64. He said the decision to open a larger, full-service restaurant was driven by the community support his family received after relocating to the area.
“As our connection to the community grew, we wanted to create a place where families and friends could gather and enjoy a full dining experience, which led us to open Ahi Asian Bistro here in Lakeland,” Chen said.
Ahi Asian Bistro was one of the first businesses announced for Phase 2 of Lakeland Town Square and has been considered a key addition to the development’s growing mix of restaurants, retail shops, and service-oriented businesses.
The opening represents another step forward for Lakeland Town Square as it continues to expand as a hub for dining, shopping, and community activity, while also highlighting the investment local business owners are making in the city’s future.
