Lakeland’s First Track and Field Meet A Success

Lakeland Prep hosted a WTAC (West Tennessee Athletic Conference) meet today for Middle Schools and the event was a remarkable success. Many teams gathered to run in the first track and field event hosted by Lakeland. The weather was a perfect complement as many who attended were seeing our facility for the very first time. All of the equipment was in mint condition and ready to see action. Field competition categories included boys and girls discuss, boys and girls shot put, boys and girls long jump and boys and girls high jump. Some of the Lakeland top finishers in those categories included: Drake Guy in discuss, Harrison Goolsby in the long jump, Kassidy Kerchoff in the long jump and Elizabeth Foster in the high jump.

Running included a myriad of categories and top finishers for the Lions’ included: Stormi Boles in the 100 meter hurdle, Harrison Goolsby in the 100 meter, LPS women in the 200 meter relay, 1600 meter top 3 all LPS ladies McMahon, Fabacher, and Russell. 1600 meter all LPS men Davis, Harden and Wilson. Ladies 400 meter LPS ladies Fabacher and Wilson. Juan Cisneros men 400 meter, LPS Ladies McMahon and Russell for the 800 meter, Sebastian Buder for the 800 meter men, Elaina Mabon 200 meter, Harrison Goolsby 200 meter, LPS ladies 400 meter relay. The men finished second behind Crestview with 111 points and ladies were first 148.5 points. A momentous beginning for a school so new in competition.
