Coming up in October Lakeland Prep will showcase a new space for the arts that many of you have seen but have yet to hear a concert, musical or play. Our auditorium will have its first performances next month and feature the LPS Orchestras and LPS Bands. In the following months, the LPS Theatre Company and LPS Choirs will also perform. We will all have an opportunity to see how well the auditorium accommodates our programs with eight hundred seats for attendees and just as important acoustically and visually.
First up will be our Band Concert on October 20th 7-8 PM. It will feature the beginning band, 7th grade band, 8th-9th grade band, and percussion ensemble. The following week will be the Fall Orchestra Showcase Concert October 25th 6:30pm – 8:00pm. In November, the LPS Theatre Company will perform two one act plays with “Night of the Undead Theatre.” There will be multiple performances from November 3rd to November 6th that will give audiences several chances to watch and watch again.
In December, the LPS Band Winter Holiday Concert will be December 8th 7pm – 8pm, the LPS Orchestra Choirs Winter Holiday Concert will be December 12th 6:30pm – 7:30pm, and the LPS Orchestras Winter Holiday Concert will be December 13th 6:30pm – 7:30pm. More details will follow but, in the meantime, make sure to mark your calendars so you can appreciate our beautiful auditorium on another level.
