Lakeland Christmas Performing Arts Programs Start This Week

By Wesley Wright
LPS Orchestra Booster Club President

Tonight kicks off the Christmas program season for Lakeland Preparatory School with the LPS Choirs under the direction Tate Hansen. The program begins at 7pm Monday evening in the LPS Auditorium. Organizers say there will be a surprise collaboration or two during the program. The LPS Band program has been growing by leaps and bounds with the middle school under the direction of Brent Hopper and the high school under the direction of Micaiah Radcliffe. They are having two separate programs the Middle School will perform December 5th at 7pm and the High School December 7th at 7pm. Concessions will be available for both Band concerts.

The LPS Orchestra program will be held Thursday December 14th at 6:30 pm. Robyn Greene has done a tremendous job guiding the strings to the next level during her first years as program director. The program will include both the middle and high school orchestras with a wide variety of festive music for the Christmas season. There will be a live auction that starts at 6pm in the auditorium foyer, all are welcome to come and bid. School gear will be sold as well, so check out the LPS Orchestra Facebook page for updates on the auction and swag. All performing arts programs will be held in the LPS Auditorium and the public is invited to attend.
