It’s the longest day of the year

Welcome to summer, officially.  June 20th.  91° today and only a 10% chance of rain.

It is the June solstice, marking the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere at 4:44 p.m. CDT, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.

Earth arrives at the point in its orbit where the North Pole is at its maximum tilt toward the sun, resulting in the longest day and shortest night of the calendar year.
