Members approved a TIF (Tax Increment Financing) draw request for Lakeland Commons.

Also approved was acceptance and conveyance of property for a proposed ALDI grocery store in Lakeland.  The construction start date for the grocery is April 20th.  It will be located on approximately 2.67 acres in The collection at Lakeland, a planned mixed-use development at the northeast corner of U.S. Highway 64 and Canada Road.

According to Scott Martsolf, director of real estate, ALDI Inc. Mt. Juliet Division Real Estate, there are no plans for an official ground breaking ceremony.
