Chamber luncheon speaker offered sales techniques

An international speaker and coach, Wanda Allen, shared sales tactics at the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon Wednesday (2.26.20) at Stonebridge Golf Club.

Ms. Allen, founder of Follow Up Sales Strategies, said there are over 100,000 people networking in the United States and the end result is stacks of business cards.  “Stop going to events, connecting with people and doing nothing,” she said.  “Follow up is critical in very stage of the sales process.”  Without the follow up, companies lose business and have business card-build up, she said.

She noted it is stressful to follow up with a prospect, sometimes causing embarrassment, guilt or discouragement if the call does not lead to a new client. “When you follow up, you’re in control, you get encouragement and you are confident.”

The strategies, she said, for successful client-building are mindset, CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) with follow up a priority.

Sponsor for the luncheon was One With God, Inc. with founder and Pastor Bob James sharing a video about the ministry.
