The City of Lakeland is preparing an ADA Transitional Plan to identify public facilities not accessible for those with disabilities.
Emily Harrell, city engineer, said it is required by TDOT and the FHWA (Federal Highway Administration). “We agree that it is needed, especially as our facilities age and the ADA requirements change,” said Mrs. Harrell.
