Another wellness and lifestyle business is coming to The Lake District. According to Maggie Gallagher, Director of Development for The Lake District, Activate IV has signed a lease and will be located next to Cycle Bar in phase one of the development. Activate IV is a wellness recovery center that focuses on vitamin IV drips, B-12 injections, cryotherapy, and more.

According to Jeana Bond, one of the owners of the business, Activate IV has multiple locations in Georgia, but this will be the first location in the Memphis market. “There’s not a place like this in Memphis, a true one-stop location,” Mrs. Bond told Lakeland Currents. “Wellness is a passion of mine and I love helping people fight the aging process,” she said.

Mrs. Bond says the IV Hydration Therapy they offer is a treatment utilizing an intravenous drip to introduce vital electrolytes, minerals, and amino acids directly and immediately into the body. It can help treat anything from cold and flu to fatigue, migraines, and even dry skin. “IV drips are great for recovery and wellness. We even have people that come in once a week to get a drip instead of taking vitamins at home,” Mrs. Bond said.

Activate IV will be located next to Cycle Bar in Phase One (located behind Starbucks).

Cryotherapy will also be a part of the Activate IV business. Cryotherapy is a favorite recovery technique of many professional athletes. The process involves exposing the body to temperatures colder than negative 200 degrees for three minutes inside a closed chamber. Mrs. Bond says she’s excited to bring the cutting edge therapy to the area. “Cryotherapy can help with muscular and joint pain relief. It increases circulation, it reduces inflammation, and can even tighten skin and reduces the appearance of cellulite,” she said. She added the therapy is great for fat loss saying 3 minutes inside the chamber burns 700 calories. Mrs. Bond said if someone doesn’t like getting inside the chamber tank, they also offer localized cryotherapy to target specific areas of the body. “We can even ‘cryosculpt’ to help fat burning in problem areas,” she said.

The location also plans on offering other services in the future such as an infrared sauna, Normatech compression boots, and more.

The opening date for Activate IV is currently expected to be April of 2022.
