Lakeland residents will once again have the opportunity to turn unwanted household items into extra cash while searching for bargains throughout the community when the Lakeland Fall Yard Sale returns Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The communitywide event has become a popular Lakeland tradition, with 100 to 200 homes participating in previous spring and fall sales. Neighborhoods across the city are transformed into a citywide marketplace as residents clean out closets, garages and storage spaces and shoppers search for deals.
While some residents begin setting up and selling on Friday, Saturday morning is typically the busiest time for shoppers, particularly before 10 a.m. Sellers are encouraged to have their items ready and be set up by 7 a.m.
Yard Sale Map to Help Shoppers Navigate
Residents who plan to participate will once again have the opportunity to have their address included on the community yard sale map/app, which has helped shoppers find participating homes in previous years.
Addresses can be submitted by emailing Wesley Wright at wesley@wesleyalanwright.com or by commenting in the designated Facebook thread.
New Facebook Page Connects Lakeland Yard Sale Shoppers and Sellers
A new Lakeland Tennessee Yard Sale Facebook page has also been created to provide a central place for residents to find information about the community yard sale and future events.
The page will give Lakeland residents a place to connect with others who are buying and selling, share information and stay informed about upcoming community yard sales.

As in previous years, there will be no official rain date for the fall yard sale. Individual sellers will be responsible for placing their own yard sale signs and removing them by the Monday following the event.
Residents interested in participating are encouraged to mark their calendars for Saturday, October 3, and begin preparing for another communitywide morning of yard-sale shopping in Lakeland.
