Owners Box Marks Three Years as a Lakeland Gathering Place

Three years ago, Owners Box opened its doors in Lakeland Town Square. In a relatively short time, it has grown into something more than a place to grab a meal or watch a game. It has become an anchor of Lakeland Town Square and a cornerstone of the broader Lakeland community, a place where families meet for dinner, friends gather on weekends, fans settle in for a game, and community organizations regularly find a willing partner.

As Owners Box celebrates its third anniversary, perhaps its greatest success is the relationship it has built with Lakeland itself. The restaurant has developed an exceptionally loyal customer base, but that loyalty has gone both ways. Over the past three years, Owners Box has consistently supported local booster clubs, schools, teams, nonprofits and community organizations. Few local businesses have been as visible or as willing to step up when a Lakeland organization needs a sponsor, fundraiser or community partner.

The Owners Box team have also continued to invest in the restaurant rather than allowing its early success to make it stand still. The space has steadily grown and evolved, with additional televisions, seating areas and smaller nooks that give customers different ways to enjoy the restaurant. Whether someone wants to be in the middle of the action for a big game, sit down with the family for dinner, or find a more relaxed corner with friends, Owners Box has increasingly created a place for each.

That evolution has helped make Owners Box something Lakeland had long needed: a true community gathering place. Its role as an anchor in Lakeland Town Square has grown alongside its role in Lakeland itself. Restaurants come and go, but the ones that become part of a community’s identity do so because people begin thinking of them as more than restaurants. Owners Box has reached that point remarkably quickly.

An upcoming anniversary celebration is planned with food and drink specials plus music,  a bounce house, permanent bracelets, and more.

Owners Box credits both its team and the customers who have supported it, brought their families, celebrated special occasions and gathered there for games over the past three years. That relationship has worked both ways, with Owners Box becoming one of Lakeland’s most consistent supporters of the schools, teams and organizations that bring the community together.

Three years after opening, Owners Box has become both an anchor of Lakeland Town Square and a cornerstone of Lakeland itself. It continues to grow and evolve while remaining invested in the community that embraced it from the beginning.
