The first graduating class of Lakeland Preparatory School was recognized Monday evening, April 27, during its inaugural baccalaureate service, held at Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett. The event marked a significant milestone for both the school and its senior class, highlighting a moment of historical and personal importance.
The service was organized by graduating senior Anne Burnett and reflected a strong emphasis on student leadership. Carefully planned from beginning to end, the program centered on the theme of prioritizing values through a Christ-centered life—a message that resonated throughout the evening’s music, readings, and reflections.
Several members of the senior class delivered personal messages to their peers, offering encouragement and insight as they prepare to graduate. Their remarks underscored the unique journey of a class that played a foundational role in shaping Lakeland Prep’s high school experience.
Pastors Terry Easley and Hunter Ferguson led the service, emphasizing themes of humility, purpose, and service. Their messages complemented the student-led elements, contributing to a cohesive and meaningful program.
As Lakeland Preparatory School prepares for its first commencement ceremony on May 5, the inaugural baccalaureate service stands as a defining moment—reflecting the values, leadership, and legacy of its first graduating class.
