Statistics released today (6.228.20) for COVID-19 by the Shelby County Health Department (SCHD) include: 9,310 cases, confirmed and probable: 6,318 recovered (67.9%); 2,811 current (30.2%); and 181 deceased (1.9%). There have been 121,626 total tested in Shelby County, which is 100 newly confirmed COVID cases.
Among nursing homes and facilities which serve vulnerable populations, there have been 69 deaths, unchanged for several days. There have been no deaths reported from the Shelby County Division of Corrections and one employee death at the Shelby County Jail/201 Poplar Ave. The overall testing positivity rate is 7.7.
