3 Opportunities:  Come, Share Thoughts on Proposed City Park

Your input is requested at one of three public presentations this month on the proposed Lakeland Athletic and Recreation Park.

Kevin Rooney, director of the Parks and Recreation Department, said there are three dates for the community to view the proposed Athletic and Recreation Park and ask questions of City officials. All meetings will be at Lakeland City Hall.

March 13 – 5p.m. before the monthly Parks and Recreation Board meeting

March 19 – 6 p.m.

March 28 – 10am.

Mr. Rooney said, “The City understands the need for additional space for our recreational programs, and believes the multi-phase buildout will help our programs continue to grow with the growth of the City.

“The Park will also offer more space and opportunities for residents to get out and enjoy the outdoors.”

Park Vision Plan

He said the presentations will discuss the project details, various phases and the future goals of the project. City officials will be on hand to field any questions from attendees. Contact City Hall, he said, for more information.  Mr. Rooney can be reached at 867-5414 or krooney@lakelandtn.org .

Mr. Rooney noted the LPRF (Local parks and Recreation Fund) application requires public presentations to the community.
