On the chance that some of that frozen stuff hits Lakeland streets today (11.14.18), the City of Lakeland is prepared.
Emily Harrell, PE CPESC, city engineer, said, “In anticipation of winter weather, the City of Lakeland Public Works Department is applying a brine mix to all major roadways
“Once the weather arrives, crews will begin spreading a salt/sand mix.”
The City also has a plow to attach to a city truck if needed.
Lakeland is part of a winter weather advisory until noon Thursday.
