Trash Pickup Dates Changing For Multiple Residents

According to Lakeland City Manager, Michael Walker, some residents can expect a change in the day their trash is collected. According to Mr. Walker, on June 17th, Waste Connections, along with the City of Lakeland bulk waste services, will be switching pickup days for The Grove neighborhood, Oakwood Grove neighborhood, and some parts of Memphis-Arlington road. That includes trash, recycle and yard waste for those areas. The new collection date for those areas will now be on Mondays instead of Fridays. The map below shows which areas can expect the change with Monday being shown in orange and Friday pickups show in purple.

Mr. Walker said residents can also call to verify this information by contacting Lakeland’s Public Works administrative assistant, Becca Hume, at 901-867-5409 or emailing her at rhume@lakelandtn.org.

This map shows which streets are affected by the switch (Monday is represented as orange and Friday is represented as purple).
