The Lake District (TLD) will begin pouring foundations on the job site at 2 p.m. Friday (3.27.20) including the steel erection and vertical construction for the project.
“During this time of ‘social distancing’ we are fortunate that our work is commencing. This project is vital to the region and symbolizes that things will improve and our economy will come back,” said Developer Yehuda Netanel. Construction is managed by Linkous Construction, Memphis general contractor.
Mr. Netanel said, “In adherence to social distancing, this is a media only event.”
The Lake District is a 160-acre lifestyle development divided into two phases with phase 1 now underway. The project will include a mix of retail, local restaurants, hotels, entertainment, office space, wellness and residential. Once completed, The Lake District will be home to approximately 2,000 people. Phase 1 includes 103 townhouses as the demand for living in Lakeland has increased.
