According to developer Yehuda Netanel, nearly 500 families are interested in moving to the upscale mixed-use community surrounding a 10-acre lake and waterways at I-40 and Canada Road in Lakeland.

“Nearly 500 families have expressed interest in building their dream home at The Lake District. We want to extend an invitation to everyone interested or just considering. The custom homes at The Lake District will be spectacular, we cannot wait to call you our neighbor,” said Mr. Netanel.

He added, “From the very moment The Lake District released details about building custom homes in the Residential District, public interest and excitement has been overwhelming. With the full acquisition of land completed earlier this month The Lake District has announced an open house event where they will be presenting The Lake District’s Collection of Homes. The open house takes place Thursday, August 30th at Stonebridge Golf Club.”

If interested in the event, RSVP on TLD (The Lake District) website event page:  https://www.thelakedistrict.us/event/the-lake-district-collection-of-homes-open-house/

Attendees at the open house can meet the entire team behind the Residential District, ask questions and learn about reserving their dream home. In addition to The Lake District’s developers Yehuda Netanel and Maggie Gallagher, the exclusive architect, builder, and realtor will be featured guests.

  • Architect: Looney Ricks Kiss, Victor Buchholz
  • Exclusive Builder: Keith Allen of Walker Collinsworth Custom Homes
  • Exclusive Realtor: Billy Rodgers of Crye-Leike

Mrs. Gallagher explained, “Residents will be able to build a home that matches their discerning tastes and lifestyle.”

According to The Lake District’s website, people will be able to choose from a variety of architectural styles built on three different lot sizes. Homes at The Lake District start in the upper $300s and are to be built to the owner’s specifications.

According to Mr. Netanel, TLD is designed as an urban village.   “The Lake District is a walkable, luxurious community with elegant water features threaded throughout its five premier districts: Inline Retail District (high-end retail, grocery); Main Street District (chef-driven restaurants and cafes); Hotel District (two modern hotels, one with lake view); Pad Sites and Office District (65,000 sq. ft. of office space); and Residential District (assisted senior living, downtown-style lofts and single family homes).”

Among tenants already announced are Gould’s Salon and Spa, Osaka Japanese Cuisine, Starbucks, Malco Theatres and The Stock Market, an innovative first-of-its-kind, only in Lakeland grocery store.

The project is expected to have vertical out of the ground by late 2019.
