The Lake District (TLD) is having an open house for retailers and brokers at the Capital Grille (6065 Poplar Ave, Memphis) from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (10.10.18).
Both retailers and brokers will have an opportunity to meet directly with TLD’s developer, Yehuda Netanel; Director of Development Maggie Gallagher and other key players for securing space at the high-end mixed-use community, scheduled for a Phase 1 open in late 2019.
Mrs. Gallagher said, “The opportunities provided by TLD are incredibly substantial for everyone. It is estimated that consumer spending at the lifestyle community will be upwards of $200 million in annual revenue for businesses that call TLD home, according to an independent study conducted by the market research firm, Younger and Associates for Shelby County. Furthermore, $3 Million are up for grabs to brokers securing space for tenants.”
Mr. Netanel explained, “This summer has been quite prosperous for the community, LOIs (Letters of Intent) have been streaming in from both national and iconic Memphis brands. We invite retailers and brokers to be a part of something special.”
Mrs. Gallagher added, “The Lake District is designed for the future of retail. The reality is retail as we have come to know it in the past is dying.
“Traditional malls are struggling to keep tenants, consumers are spending more money on experiences and shopping online. Industry experts agree the future of brick and mortar retail will belong to those who focus on creating memorable experiences for consumers.
“Customer service will turn into customer relationships. The evolution of retail is not something to be afraid of, it is something to embrace and celebrate! The Lake District was designed with this in mind.”
Mr. Netanel said, “We are extremely honored to present the residents of Memphis, Lakeland and the surrounding communities a destination designed for the future.”
