Three LMPS students participated in regional honor choir this month

Among the hundreds of students at a regional choir this month were three LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) students: Toby Harrell, tenor; Alexis Gick, alto 1; and John Brown, bass.

Tonya Miller, LMPS choir director, said the three students participated with 200 other students Nov. 17 at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts in Memphis for the All Southwest Tennessee Honor Choir Concert.

This is the second consecutive year for LMPS students to be selected to the regional choir. The school opened to grades 5-8 in August 2017.

The three Lakeland students were selected last month at a competition at Colonial Middle School with 600 students.

Mrs. Miller said there are 24 students in LMPS Concert Choir this school year.
