Three LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) students have been selected for the 2018 All-West Honor Choir.

Tonya Miller, LMPS choir director, said Toby Harrell, tenor;  Alexis Gick, alto 1; and John Brown, bass,  competed Saturday (10.27.18) at Colonial Middle School with 600 other students.

This is the second consecutive year for LMPS students to be selected to the regional choir. The school opened to grades 5-8 in August 2017.

Mrs. Miller said rehearsals will be Nov. 15-16 with the performance Nov. 17, all at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts in Memphis.

There are 24 students in LMPS Concert Choir this school year.

Lakeland high school students attend Arlington High School through an interlocal with the two cities, until a high school is built in Lakeland.
