It was a day for hearts and a third grade class at LES (Lakeland Elementary School) chose to share a little love with seniors in the Lakeland community yesterday (2.14.19).
Tiffany Maclin, LES PTA president and room mother, said Christy Parsley’s 20-student third grade class wanted to “give back.”
“For our class Valentine’s Day party, we wanted to give back,” said Mrs. Maclin. “The students created Valentine cards and I delivered them to the Lakeland Senior Center today to be delivered to those there.
“They were very grateful! The class wanted to spread Valentine cheer to those that may not have someone to share the holiday with and to give back to our community.”
