You’ve done it.
You’ve made the Lakeland Currents website a favorite read among thousands of people around the Lakeland community and beyond.
Statistics for the first six months of 2018 show the news website staffed by volunteers reached 35K readers with 118K page views. And those readers live not only in Lakeland but in Arlington, Bartlett, Memphis, Collierville, Germantown, Millington, Nashville and Atlanta.
Sixty-nine (69) percent get “news on the go” by visiting the site on their phones.
For all of 2017, there were 185K page views and 42K readers.
“I regularly read the Lakeland Currents website to stay informed as to what is going on in the Lakeland community,” said Mandy Magness, a Lakeland resident. “Having a local new source is very beneficial and convenient. Lakeland Currents is reliable, informative and trustworthy.”
From Phillip Walker of Bartlett: “The Lakeland Currents website and Facebook posts are always up-to-date and provide comprehensive coverage of Lakeland’s government and developments of interest to the surrounding community.”
Another Lakeland resident, Kurt Wagner, said, “I find myself going to your page frequently if I need to know what’s going on in Lakeland. Community events, school information/dates, Lakeland news, city hall meetings, trash pickup reminders, recreational activities, etc. It’s the one place that seems to cover everything in Lakeland. I definitely visit your site on a daily basis!”
The LC staff appreciates the Lakeland community and its surrounds for trusting the website designed for news, events, feature stories and advertising. We plan to continue this tradition. www.lakelandcurrents.com
