Rachel McCollum of Lakeland is one of 36 volleyball players selected from throughout the U.S. to train at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO Dec. 26-30 at their USA Volleyball High Performance Girls Holiday Training Program.
She and the other athletes were identified as top performers and high potential athletes based on positional evaluations in 2019.
She is the daughter of Brad and Mary McCollum of Lakeland and a sophomore at Collierville High School where she plays for the school varsity team and also Memphis Metro. She has played volleyball eight years. Her mom is a school psychologist with the Collierville Schools.
This weekend Rachel will participate in the Phenom College Volleyball Prep Program in Pittsburg, PA and she participated in the USA High Performance Volleyball A1 Training Program in Florida summer of 2019.
