The 20th Dream Home in Memphis to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is coming together on a lot in the Winstead Farms neighborhood off U.S. Highway 70.
The 3,400 square-foot home at 5046 Adagio Lane is under construction by Southern Serenity Homes, builder of Dream Homes in the Memphis area for 12 years. Estimated value of the four bedroom, four bath home is $450,000.
Greg Bridgers, Southern Serenity founder, said the home should be finished May 9th with a sneak preview for St. Jude officials, Lakeland officials, vendors and suppliers May 16th. The home should be open to the public the weekend of May 18th.

Groundbreaking for the home was Oct. 24th and Dr. Susan Aguillard, ALSAC/St. Jude Boards member, said the goal is to sell 14,500 tickets to the home. Ticket sales start March. 29th for $100 each with the Dream Home and other prizes awarded June 23.
During a September BOC (Board of Commissioners) meeting, commissioners approved three resolutions for the Dream Home:
- Waive sign ordinance regulations for the project
- Waive all City building permit fees excluding sewer connection fees
- Donate $10,000 from the City to the St. Jude Dream Home
During Mr. Bridgers 12-year involvement with the program, $14.5 million has been raised for St. Jude though Dream Homes in the Memphis area.
Besides Southern Serenity Homes and Renaissance Realty, there are other sponsors including Renaissance Realty, media, furniture stores, two car dealers and the Ladies of St. Jude.
The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is one of the largest single-event fundraisers for St. Jude nationwide and has raised more than $350 million. 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the giveaway.
All funds raised through the program will help ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.
