Fitness and wellness enthusiasts in Lakeland will soon have a new place to practice “hot” yoga as Sol 2 Soul Yoga prepares to open a new studio in Lakeland Town Square in the summer of 2025. Hot yoga is a form of yoga practice that takes place in a heated room, typically between 90 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
Vince Smith, the developer of Lakeland Town Square, confirmed the upcoming studio to Lakeland Currents, noting that it will be located at 4846 Village Market Lane, Suite A103, across from Margaritas Mexican Restaurant.
The studio is the vision of Lakeland residents Jon and Jessica Klukas, who are excited to bring their passion for hot yoga to the growing Lakeland community. Jessica, a retired Navy veteran, will run the studio. “Yoga helped me connect with people when I retired from the Navy out of the Millington base. So I lost a bit of my community but yoga helped me find another,” Jessica told Lakeland Currents. “I want to share that with the people who live here.”

Jessica said their time in the service also exposed she and her husband to the struggle of people suffering from internal and external conflict. They used that as inspiration, wanting to make a positive difference. “There are a lot of military people in the area so I thought yoga would be a great way to blend civilian and military people in the community,” she said.
