In the early hours of the morning, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) responded to reports of gunfire at the Somerset at Lakeland Apartments on Champions Drive. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. The apartments are located in the Stonebridge area just north of Highway 64.
Deputies arriving at the scene recovered shell casings but reported no injuries. According to initial accounts, a suspect involved in the shooting fled the area in a vehicle.
One adult male at the scene was taken into custody by law enforcement.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear as the investigation continues. Authorities have not yet disclosed further details.
