The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) has confirmed there was a shooting in the 9100 block of Wren Hill in Plantation Hills, Lakeland tonight (10.1.19) with one person pronounced deceased on the scene and one transported to an area hospital.
John Morris, public information officer for the SCSO, said, “One person has been pronounced deceased on the scene and a second person has been transported to ROH (Regional One Health) in critical condition.”
He said preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident and possibly domestic in nature.
This is an ongoing investigation, he said.
