Many people ask about the land adjacent to Esporta Fitness that is zoned for commercial development. Since Banfield Pet Hospital opened in that location and the Glide Car Wash was approved last month by the BOC the next question that follows is often what about Shadrachs Ciffee, wasn’t it approved? The Arkansas based coffee shop company will have its first location in the Mid-South in Lakeland. US Highway 64 has long been targeted for expanding franchises. The growth further east and the traffic count makes the 64-corridor extremely attractive and that’s where the Shadrachs business model is advantageous.
There is no inside service at Shadrachs, rather, they only offer a drive thru service. However, site plans submitted to the city does show an outside seating area. According to their website, Shadrachs offers a full menu of items with a wide variety of coffee drinks and teas to smoothies and shakes. Although the design did go through some slight changes, they resemble other locations in Jonesboro. According to sources they have acquired a building permit and should be starting in a matter of months. Similar to other outparcels along 64 they will have walk-up access on the east side and a wraparound lane with pickup for vehicles on the west. Grand opening will likely be in early 2023.
