Shadrachs Coffee, a well-known Arkansas coffee company, is one step closer to opening a location in Lakeland. Lakeland will be Shadrach’s first location outside of Arkansas.
At the August Municipal Planning & Design Review Commission meeting, approval was given for the site plan according to Commissioner Jim Atkinson. The future site is located at 7677 Highway 64, which is the property located just east of LA Fitness (now called Esporta Fitness). According to Commissioner Atkinson, they still have a couple of steps left before they began construction. “They still need to submit construction plans to the city engineer and then pull a building permit,” Mr. Atkinson told Lakeland Currents.
The company has a different business model than most traditional coffee companies. There is no inside service at Shadracks, rather, they only offer a drive thru service. However, site plans submitted to the city does show an outside seating area. According to their website, Shadracks offers a full menu of items with a wide variety of coffee drinks and teas to smoothies and shakes.
