Senior citizens among those eligible to vote absentee for upcoming local election

Applications are being taken by the Shelby County Election Commission for absentee ballots for the Aug. 6th County, General, State/Federal Primary.

During the pandemic and Safer at Home Orders, seniors have been advised to stay at home as much as possible.

Among those eligible to vote absentee are residents 60+.  The requests must be in writing and signed by the voter, according to the Shelby County Election Commission (SCEC).  Requests became available May 8th  and will be accepted until July 30th.
