Enrollment at AHS (Arlington High School) for the 2018-19 school year is 2,044 as of today (8.20.18), said Tyler Hill, communications coordinator for the Arlington Community Schools (ACS).
The number for 2017-18 was 2,008, he said.
Numbers released for LSS (Lakeland School System) for 2018-19 last week by Dr. Ted Horrell, LSS superintendent, are:
LES (Lakeland Elementary School) with 915 students compared to 881 a year ago; 772 at LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) versus 712 in 2017. Total students in the System today are 1,687 compared to the first day in 2017 which was 1,593.
Lakeland students attend AHS through an interlocal agreement until a high school is built in Lakeland.
