SCHD, TN COVID-19 update for 5.19.20

There are 3,877 confirmed cases (+116) of COVID-19 in Shelby County, and that number includes 88 deaths (+3), 2,537 recovered (+84) and 1,252 current cases (+29), according to Joan Carr, public information officer for the Shelby County Health Department (SCHD).

There have been 54,842 tests: 7.1% positive (3,877) and 92.9% negative (50,965). The overall testing positivity rate in Shelby is 7.1%.  There have been 34 deaths in rehabilitation and elderly facilities in Shelby County.
