The positivity rate is 7.7% and is probably declining because more tests are being done, said Dr. Bruce Randolph, SCHD health office, speaking at a noon press conference.
Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, when asked what data will determine moving from one phase to another in the Back-to-Business Framework, said there are four indicators to be considered:
- Testing capability
- An analysis of confirmed cases and not the raw numbers
- Hospital capacity
- Public health capacity which includes a proposed $11.4 million, eight-month expansion of the department, to be presented to the Shelby County Commission
State statistics include 16,110 cases (+566 from Tuesday); 8,336 recovered cases (+298); 264 deaths (+13); 1,363 hospitalized (+19); and 283,924 tests (+10,647). https://www.tn.gov/health/cedep/ncov.html
