Lakeland Mayor Mike Cunningham signed a Civil Emergency Proclamation and Executive Order today (3.24.20) regarding Safer at Home Directive for the City of Lakeland. The Safer at Home Order directs all Lakeland residents to limit all movement outside their homes beyond what is necessary to address essential needs.
This Safer at HomeDirectivecontinues social distancing measures mandated bythe City ofLakeland over the past week. This Directive will help ensure the public health of our residents, disrupt the spread of the virus, and reduce the strain on regional healthcare resources.
The order is eight pages long and is effective at 6 p.m. today until March 28th unless otherwise extended.
