A significant road closure is scheduled on Memphis Arlington Road at the TVA easement from July 26 to July 28 to facilitate the installation of the new Clear Creek Interceptor. During this period, contractors will be working diligently to complete the necessary infrastructure upgrades.

To ensure smooth traffic flow and minimize disruptions, a detour has been established. Motorists traveling in the area will be redirected via Hwy 70, which will serve as the alternate route around the construction site. The contractor has provided a detailed traffic control plan, including the graphic below that illustrates the location of the road cut and the designated detour route.

Local officials advise drivers to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time. The completion of the Clear Creek Interceptor is a crucial project aimed at improving the local sewer infrastructure in Lakeland, and this temporary inconvenience is expected to yield long-term benefits for the community.
